Public HTML always includes search and social tags. You do not need a plugin for sitemap, robots, canonicals, Open Graph, Twitter Cards, or JSON-LD. The SEO Toolkit plugin (justflows.seo, from the plugin registry) adds a settings panel and owns the RSS 2.0 / Atom 1.0 / JSON Feed 1.1 syndication feeds; /admin/seo redirects to its settings screen. The host no longer ships a hard-coded justflows.seo settings schema — an installed SEO plugin supplies its own.

What every public page emits

  • Open Graph: og:title, og:description, og:url, og:type (website), og:image when set
  • Twitter: twitter:card (summary or summary_large_image), twitter:image, optional twitter:site
  • JSON-LD WebPage (name, description, url, optional image)
  • <link rel="canonical"> and <link rel="sitemap">

Per-page fields

On Admin → Content → edit, the SEO box stores seoTitle, seoDescription, seoCanonical, and seoImage on the entry’s fields. Empty values fall back to the page title, excerpt, then the site default description.

Sitemap and robots

GET /sitemap.xml lists / plus every published content URL (locale-aware). GET /robots.txt allows crawlers and points at the sitemap unless Discourage search engines is on (Disallow: /). Plugins can append paths with the seo.sitemapPaths filter and extra HTML with html.head (sync).

Syndication feeds

The feed feature itself ships in the SEO Toolkit plugin; the platform provides the surfaces it needs, all generally useful: ctx.content.listPublished(query?) reads published entries by type / locale / author / date (scheduled and expired excluded, needs content:read); ctx.i18n.defaultLocale() / ctx.i18n.locales() expose the site's configured locales read-only; the html.head filter context gains locale (the page's content locale) for locale-aware <head> tags; and a manifest may declare hostCooperative: true so an installed first-party module that only augments (feed routes, autodiscovery) is safe to activate.

The content editor's SEO tab gains an Exclude from RSS / Atom / JSON feeds checkbox for every content type (fields.seoFeedExclude), shown only while an SEO plugin that owns feeds is active. Per-taxonomy feeds remain open — the taxonomies / terms tables have no term-assignment UI or public archive yet.

SEO Toolkit settings

When SEO Toolkit is active, Admin → Plugins → SEO Toolkit stores localized site title, default meta description, title template (%s is the page title), Twitter/X handle, and extra sitemap paths (one per line). Installed but inactive plugins do not add settings, blocks, routes, or public behavior.

Careful

There is no keyword research, rank tracking, Article/BreadcrumbList schema, or per-page noindex in CE. Site-wide noindex is the Settings discourage-search-engines switch.
