Documentation is English-only for now. The rest of the site follows your language.

Languages

Site locales, default language, visitor locale, and admin UI translations.

5 min read

Admin → Languages. The installer creates English. You add more locales, set a default, and attach translations to content (see Content).

Public site

  • Public pages resolve locale from the URL (/:locale/:slug) and GET /api/v1/content?locale=.
  • POST /set-locale stores the visitor preference.
  • robots.txt respects Discourage search engines in Settings.

Admin UI strings

The admin loads GET /api/i18n/:locale. Shipped admin catalogues include en, nl, de, fr, es, pl, uk, ru — Polish, Ukrainian, and Russian cover the admin, server-rendered admin pages, and the public site's navigation, comments, search, install prompts, and error and maintenance pages. Ukrainian and Russian are also offered in the installation language picker. Site content languages are independent of which language the editor uses in the administration UI.

APIs: /api/languages (list/create/update/delete as documented on the server; preference endpoints require a session).
